Well, I'm back from vacation, not sure I'm totally back, but I'm here in spirt. My Cooper is 2 now, he had his birthday on our trip and my Aunt & Uncle were nice enough to have him a second birthday party to spoil him even more. LOL!
We had a digi meet and greet that was super fun!
We went to Georiga and then on to Florida on our visit. Stopped in Georgia to spend a few days with my Uncle Wayne and Aunt Gail, I haven't seen them in 10 years. My cousin Jennifer and her new husband also came to visit me, it was so great. I got to see my Granny Coursey, Aunt Vonnie, Uncle Steve and my cousin Josh too, so it was a nice trip.
We went to Florida to visit my Papa Kermit & Crazy Papa, and my best friends, Robyn, Jolene and Lara. I wish I'd have had more time with them. Keira loved it there because Robyn, Jolene and Amanda all have kids her age, so she had plenty of friends to play with.
And after our 2 short days in Dixie County, we headed to Disney for our first family trip. First we went to Downtown Disney on Thursday, did the T-Rex Prehistoric Family Adventure, the food was good, pricey, but it was so neat, all the dinos and lights, just really cool. The kids each made a Dino, like Build a Bear.
We also spoiled Keira by taking her to the Bippity Boppity Boutique for a make over.
The rest of the day we just enjoyed the shops and walking around.
The next day it was on to The Magic Kingdom or Mickey Mouse's house as I told Keira. LOL!
It was a fun day, with the exception that I realized Coop was cutting his 2 year molars, which explained a little of his grumpiness, we're in the full swing of terrible twos right now. He didn't like the characters at all, even the people ones. Keira did, she loved it.
Saturday before we headed home we did a Character Breakfast and it was wonderful!
and we headed home after that, we stopped in Savannah, I really should have researched the city, we didn't do much, walked around a little and stopped at the Paula Deen store, I got some awesome Salad Dressing and steak sauce. The Lady and Sons was all full for dinner, so we didn't eat, but we saw it. LOL!
It was a long trip, we forgot Keira's purple bear at a hotel in SC, I was a wreak, I'll tie it to her arm next time. LOL!
Now, my tips for Disney, if you hate lines, do a Character Meal, when we go back I'm going to probably do 2 of them, one with the Princesses and one with either Mickey or something else the kids want to do.
If you don't do a meal and want to meet them, go to them first in the park, it only took us about 10 minutes to see Ariel, and she was one of our first stops, we missed out on Tigger and Pooh because they did a shift change, we were all hungry and Cooper was tired of sitting, so we didn't wait for them.
DON'T TAKE A TWO YEAR OLD unless you know they love all things Disney and can take the waiting and keep in mind, most lines you can't take a stroller.
Do Not Take a big camera. I regret taking mine, I felt extremely limited, I'm going to get a nice point and shoot for out in public places. My lens, flash and camera weighed a ton! And if you do the photo pass thing, even if you missed a major shot, they might have gotten it.
TAKE TAMPONS WITH YOU and Midol!! Yep, you guessed it, we were standing in line waiting on the park to open and my least favorite time of the month arrived without warning. I always have them with me except that day, I put everything in my camera bag so I'd only have 1 bag and I didn't put any in there. I had to ask the guy at the gift shop outside the gate, a pack of 10 costed me $5 bucks and they were not my brand, which you know how that is if they aren't what you're use to.
We're planning on going back for an extended stay with Cooper is around 4, Keira will be 6, almost 7. She did great with the lines and everything, so I think that'll be better. One day/One park is more than enough for a 2 year old.
Oh, and my project 365 is dead, I'm too bored with it. Maybe I'll try again next year.
And lastly, I've done a few pages since getting home.
