Keira & Cooper found Skippy & Buzz having a shoot out in the kitchen this morning with brand new nerf guns. The kids may have been more excited about the new guns that the fact Skippy had stolen Woody's hat and was riding on Spike's back shooting at Buzz. LOL!

December 1st Advent Activity
Today is December 1st and we started our advent activities. Today the kids made Reindeer Candy Canes and I made "santa" pancakes, I'm not sure if they really look like Santa, but the kids thought they were awesome.
For these Reindeer we used,
Brown Yarn
Googly Eyes
Glittery Pom Poms
Little Jingle Bells
And Candy Canes of course.
I helped the kids wrap the 2 candy canes with yarn and they glued everything else on. We tied a ribbon on Keira's to make it look like a girl.
When I make these pancakes again I'll use pie filling instead of frozen strawberries because they start to slide and it was hard to really make his hat.
Day 4 Skippy is resting in the manger
Skippy first had a job to do tonight, Keira told him before she went to bed that Cooper lost her necklace under our bed when they were watching TV. She said Skippy could find it because he's so tiny.
He did indeed find it, and decided to wear it. Then he found a nice little manger that is a little too small for him to rest in. I got this Nativity set last year for the kids to play with. We have another one they aren't allowed to mess with.
Today also starts are countdown to Christmas activities. I've had to switch a few things around since Keira's chemo got pushed back a week due to low counts. I know the kids will be so excited. We are going to make these reindeer today. We aren't using a kit though.
