I love the holidays, nothing I like more in fact, we got our tree up last night, I got some of the decorations on it and then today the kids helped me get the fun ornaments on & Sean put the star on top. Of course I didn't get a picture of the decorated tree yet, because there are too many Christmas boxes still out from the rest of the decorations, most of which I managed to get up.
The original plan had been for our Elf to arrive on December 1st with a nice, fancy breakfast for the kids, but Keira is suppose to have chemo this week starting on Tuesday, I thought we might be a little too rushed to pull it off before we had to leave to make her 9am appointment.
We watched An Elf's Story on CBS Friday night, that really got the kids excited about it. We told them someone dropped off the box, pretty much like the did in the show, we picked a name. Sean & I had picked Elroy, Keira also liked, but Cooper wanted it to be Chippy, the elf in the show's name was Chippy, so Sean came up with Skippy and both kids were happy with that.
Sean read the story to them, and we explained after that adults can move Skippy back to the shelf and he will not loose his magic, only when children touch him will that happen.
And here is Skippy all free from his box, waiting to fly back to the north pole tonight to tell Santa about his day.
If you need Elf on the Shelf Ideas, check here, I have a ton pinned.
