I'm having a hard time believing that it has been almost 6 months since my last blog post. It that time, the kids both had birthdays, Cooper is now 3, crazy and being potty trained is no where in sight. Keira is 6 and will be starting chemo again on Thursday. We found out on May 12th that she had another tumor, in her liver this time. About 8 cm around, she had her port put in a week ago on Friday and they did the biopsy then. It was a shock, complete shock. She's been feeling great, the tumor grew in a 3 month time period. Of course the first day I was a complete wreck, it took us 2 weeks to get all the results, she's still got a 75-80% cure/survival rate, which is amazing, so I'm sure she's going to be just fine, she has to be and I won't think of it going any other way. She'll have to do radiation as well, but we don't know all the details yet on that, we'll find out on Thursday. 24 weeks of chemo, so her last one will be around November 17th if I counted right, after 13 weeks, they'll look at the tumor again and see if its small enough to remove it. Right now the problem is the tumors location more than anything, its right in the middle, so they'd have to take more than half the liver to remove it, and that's too risky. I'm still scrapping, cooking, now I crochet, and I got a sewing machine, although I haven't made anything to brag about, LOL!, well, I haven't actually made anything yet, I've tried a few times. I need some lessons. I'll try and post more often and Keira updates for sure for anyone that wants to know about her.
