Internet is still crappy

I tried for an hour last night to get online so I could watch 30 Rock on Netflix, but it didn't work, so I didn't get to watch any last night.

Some good news is that the eggs in our backyard hatched.  I took a picture of them, but its not very clear, so you can't really see them, they just look like little brown blobs. 

Yesterday Sean and I went to see two movies.  Angels and Demons, it was good, but they changed a lot of things from the book just like they did with the Da Vinci Code, but since its been so long since I'd read Angels and Demons I really couldn't remember that much about the book.  I think I droven Sean crazy asking him "was this in the book", "I don't remember this", "is he the bad guy".  If you haven't read the book it'll be really good I think.

 

Then after that we went to see The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, I'd been wanting to see this.  It was really funny.  Matthew McConaughey was beautiful as always, I love Jennifer Garner and Michael Douglas was really funny too.  It was of course a typical romantic comedy, but worth watching if you love Matthew.

All moved out

All of our stuff is packed and we're moved out of our house.  So, now we're just playing the waiting game.  I have a lot of stuff to do next week as far as outprocessing goes, so hopefully that'll go quickly.  It turns out that I do have internet in billeting, but it is slow, so I still probably won't be on that often.  Just wanted to check in and say hi.

A little birdie

Keira was outside with Sean, and she comes running inside and says "Mama, there is a little birdie outside, with a nest in the grass in our yard and there is eggs and she flew away" or something to that effect.  I was like oh, that's cool.  Then Sean comes in and tells me there really was.

 

 

So, now the issue is we have to leave soon, Sean has to mow the grass on Monday.  Poor little bird.  I don't know what we'll do.  If anyone has any ideas let me know.  Please.

YAY!!

After an extremely disappointing Dancing With the Stars, I was so happy with the outcome of American Idol. 

It was the first time I think I haven't fast forwarded through all of the filler.  I almost cried when Kris sang with Keith Urban, that happens to be one of my favorite songs at the moment, so that made me so happy.  Sean and I both really enjoyed it. 

We went to buy some extra suitcases today, that goodness for Khols, I got a 5 piece set for $65.  Score!  But, the crappy thing was I found a pair of shoes that I LOVED!!  I just bought a pair for Jessi's wedding and I like them, but they're not the ones I saw today.  Sean just threw the box away yesterday, so I don't think I can return them, I don't have the receipt. 

These were exactly what I was looking for too.  Anyhow, I'll be fine with the ones I got. 

We have less than a week left in our house, so we have a lot to do between now and Tuesday and I have to work all this weekend, so lord only knows how we'll get it all done.

Tomorrow we're having a Fish Fry with some of my friends from work.  I'm still debating on what to make for dessert.  Banana Split Cake or Rum Cake. 

Anyhow, I hope everyone enjoyed American Idol, I knew he was going to win, I jumped up out of my seat.  SO HAPPY!

Recap of Keira's Birthday Weekend

Keira turned 4 yesterday, I can hardly believe that my baby girl is that old.  And let me tell you she is 4 going on 16, she is a major brat lately.  Doesn't want to listen to anything Sean says, talks back.  I don't know what to do with her, honestly. 

I guess I can get on to happier things, Friday was her birthday party, our little house was filled to the max, 16 people total.  And of those 16 people, only 4 of them were children, Keira, Cooper, Katie and Ben.  So, it was a little crowded.

She got a ton of stuff, lots of coloring things, which she loves.  The party seemed to last forever.  I worked a mid on Thursday night, so I probably got about 5 hours of sleep at the most, I finally got Keira to go to sleep after Amber, Ben, Katie and Robert left around 10pm, Keira's bedtime is like 7, so she was up way late.  Then we played a game, a couple of our friends left around midnight I guess and then Sean and I stayed up with a couple more of our friends playing Mario Tennis and Uno until 3 am.  CRAZY!!   Sean hasn't been up that late in years.  We had to get up early the next morning too.

 

 

 

 

On Saturday, her actual birthday we got all ready to head to Jc Penny's to get Keira's birthday pictures taken and then we were off to the zoo.  Well, we're not a block from our house and hear the sound of a flat tire, sure enough, there is a screw in my tire.  Sean changes it, but we totally miss Keira's picture appointment, we got to the mall anyway and take Keira to build a bear.  I got a dress for my sister-in-law's wedding.  Then we came home, Cooper took a nap, Keira played.  When Sean got home we went to the zoo, then I tried to go order Keira's flowergirl dress, they said it would cost $150 extra for them to ship it to the store in Ohio, so I have to call and order it from that store. 

 

 

When we got home we sang happy birthday to Keira and had a small cake I made her.  Its something I started doing last year for her if we don't do her party on her birthday.

4 years ago today at 10:16 pm my little Keira Corrin was born.  She is sweet, funny, loves to talk, has an attitude I don't know what to do with half the time, loves her baby brother.  She's a precious litlte girl.  Happy Birthday Baby Girl.

Here's the picture that I promised.  It looked worse yesterday.

Yesterday was a good day

Yesterday was a really good day, I guess its still today for me since I haven't been to bed yet, but I finally finished up with some extra Air Force Crap, I don't have to do anymore, we sold Sean's car, which will help us pay some bills and that is awesome!  It'll make us breathe easier that's for sure.  We had a nice dinner at Orso where I had the most amazing steak.  This makes twice I've ordered it and its been wonderful both times.

And I've finally crossed over into less than 30 days until I leave Alaska.  29 to be exact, this is a weird feeling after almost 10 years. 

One bad thing that happened on Monday was, we were planning on getting family pictures taken on Saturday before we take Keira to the zoo, we probably aren't now because Cooper fell off a bench at daycare and scratched the hell out of his chin.  If I can remember I'll take a picture tomorrow. 

Keira's birthday party is on Friday, I have so much to do between now and then.  I haven't wrapped presents, I haven't bought the food, I need to go grab some balloons.  Clean house.  Oh and I have to work mids on Wednesday & Thursday.  Wish me luck!
