I’m going to first start off by saying how much typepad is getting on my nerves lately, I had a whole drawn out post again and lost it.
Let me try to recap, quickly, on Saturday we went to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, they have orphaned and injured Alaska animals there and some others that they are trying to build their populations back up in Alaska, you can go to their website if you want to read more.
It was really neat because you could walk or drive through the park, we drove most of it because it was raining when we got there. Keira really loved it.
We got to see them feed road kill moose to the bears, kind of gross, but still neat. On our way home we did see some Dall Sheep up on the side of the mountain, we’ve seen them before, but these actually had horns. I got pretty good pictures of two of them, but there were actually three up there. Sean saw a bald eagle, which is pretty common here unless you’re me. I have yet to see one in the wild here. I’ve seen probably 7 porcupines, 4 bears, fox, more moose than I can count, but no eagles. So he went and got some pictures of it, what was funny is when I got home and started uploading the pictures, there was also a pretty big hawk sitting pretty close to the eagle. Sean didn’t even notice it.
It was another fun day for all of us.
