Where have I been

I swear I don't know why I feel so busy all the time, I really don't do much. 

This past week Sean and I were both out of school for the week, so that was really nice.  Thursday was Thanksgiving of course, we went to my inlaws for dinner and it was really yummy!  I made several things, I couldn't help it, I have to cook on holidays or I feel lost. 

I made these little Turkey hats for the kids to wear on Thanksgiving.  Construction paper, eyes & a paper bag.  A little glue and there you have it.

 
We celebrated with my Inlaws, Sean's Grandparents on his dad's side, my sister-in-law & new brother-in-law and us of course.  It was a lot of fun until Keira hit Cooper in the face with a box.

Friday was Black Friday and I was suppose to go shopping with Pat & Jessi, but Trouble, our cat got bit by something and his face was all swelled up, so I had to stay home so Sean could take him to the vet.

I did get a chance to go shopping in the afternoon.  When to the mall, mainly to get the kids Christmas pictures, but I got a couple shirts, stopped at the Disney store and got the kids gifts from their Great Grandma & Grandpa Korte. Stopped at Target and got a dual screen DVD player for the car so our trip to Florida will be a little quieter.  LOL! 

Then we went to the inlaws for leftovers, came home, got the tree up and I got the rest of the decorations up after Keira went to bed way past her bedtime at 10pm. 

And yesterday I spent the evening watching Florida beat up on FSU. 

And if you don't know who this man is, well, that's Tim Tebow, Florida's Quarterback, he's a Senior and that was his last home game in Florida.  Aside from how hot he is, he's an awesome player and pretty awesome person too.  He's going to be missed!  Hopefully 2 more games before he's gone though.

New Moon & Star Trek

Today I had a little alone time and went to see New Moon.  I've read all four of the Twilight books and New Moon is my least favorite of them.  They were all good books, but its kind of depressing, not as much action.  Overall I'd say the movie was good, I liked it and will buy it, but it wasn't Amazing, but really good.  I can't wait for Eclipse, I saw a poster for it and I guess it comes out June 30, 2010.  Now, I think that one will be really awesome.

We also watch the new Star Trek movie tonight on DVD.  Now, I've never watched Star Trek before, but I really liked this movie and I can't wait to see the next one, I'm sure they'll be another. 

I think on Wednesday I'm going to try and take Keira to see the Princess and the Frog, I've been wanting to see it and so has she.  She's super excited about it.

Not blogging as much lately

You'll have to forgive me for not blogging much lately.  I seem to always be swamped, between school, the kids, scrapbooking & taking pictures. 

I know, I haven't posted recipes in a while either, not sure if it'll be back anytime soon. 

I've really been busy working on Jessi & Scotland's wedding album.  Hopefully I'll get it finished up soon and I can share it.  ANyhow, just throught I'd give a little update. 

I do still know how to scrap

It seems like its been forever since I've actually scrapped a page.  I've been so busy working on my Sister-In-Law's wedding album.  Just one page from Halloween, but maybe I'll get back to it soon.

Happy Halloween

Hope everyone had a great Halloween.  We did, busy all day.

The kids had pumpkin & ghost shaped pancakes for breakfast, decorated sugar cookies, and for dinner we had sloppy joes with Jack o lantern cheese on them at Keira's request.  I made the dip for the chips orange and made my Frankenstine cake.  Sean's parents came over for dinner and trick or treating.

 

 

 

 
 
 

 

 

 

Both of the kids did really good.  Cooper held his bucket and it was getting heavy, so I tried to take it so I could pour some of the candy out, bad idea.  He was pissed.  Kept yelling "MINE" at me really loudly.  So funny.  

When we got home the kids went through their stash, picked some pieces and left the rest outside for the "Halloween Witch" to come and get.  She left them each a Halloween book, movie & a small toy.  Keira got a vampire Kelly doll and Cooper got a truck.

Long Weekend Up North

Northern Michigan that is.  We went to stay at the inlaws place with them this weekend.  They share it with one of Sean's uncles, its out in the woods, really nice, quiet, well, as quiet as you can expect with 2 kids.  It was a nice trip, the only bad thing was Keira was sick on Saturday and my mother-in-law also was sick, so it could have turned out better.  I was totally stressed on Saturday, with all this swine flu crap going around, Keira was running a fever, so I was so worried, but she's better now, just a little stuffy.

I did get some pictures, I shot in Raw for the first time this weekend, I can't wait for my teacher to explain more about it tomorrow at school.
